Full Membership

Open to residents of Lamorinda and surrounding communities in Contra Costa County with at least one child age 6 or under.

Recommended for moms with young children who are looking to make new social connections, find recommendations, and get involved in their community. We are a mix of working and stay-at-home moms, first-time and repeat moms. We welcome moms who are expecting or planning a move to the area in the near future.

Alumni Membership

Open to current or returning members whose youngest child is age 7 or older.

Recommended for moms whose children have aged out of most events or playgroups but still wish to stay connected to the community. Alumni members may remain part of our members-only Facebook groups, may attend relevant social events, and receive discounts to our Speaker Series. Alumni membership is not available to first-time members.

Full members must have at least one child age 6 or under, or be expecting. Members may graduate to Alumni status when their youngest child ages out of most events, usually around 7 years old (1st grade). 

New members may not join at the Alumni level, though returning members who have taken a break in their membership may do so upon approval by the CoDirectors. 

While most members live in Lamorinda (Lafayette, Moraga, or Orinda), we have a number of members residing in the surrounding communities of Contra Costa County such as Walnut Creek, Pleasant Hill, Danville, and Concord, and welcome members from those sister communities.

If you are moving to Lamorinda from out of area (e.g. SF, Oakland, etc.), you are welcome to join before your move to find preschools and get oriented to your new community. However we do ask that you update your profile with a local address within 3 months.

We do not allow direct advertising in our forums. We reserve the right to revoke membership for violation of the forum guidelines.

volunteer requirement

Members are kindly asked to volunteer at least 2 hours and deliver at least one MomDins per year of membership. Lamorinda Moms is completely volunteer run. For our various programs to happen we all need to pitch in.

We strive to make the volunteer commitment easy to fulfill. We are all busy moms! Help for an hour or two at an event or take on a larger role on the Steering Committee. It all depends on your level of interest and availability. 

terms &

Membership dues are paid upon joining and then yearly on a recurring basis. Your credit card will be kept on file and charged annually for membership dues at the current membership rate. We’ll send you a renewal notice before charging your card. You may cancel your membership at any time and no future charges will be made. Once your dues have been charged for the year however, no refunds will be issued.
