Wherever you are in your journey, we have a place for you. Our mission is to connect local families in a safe and supportive environment, where differences are celebrated and all people are valued. We are committed to facilitating active friendships and providing community resources to aid our members

We are proud to serve all parents in our community including single parents, LGBTQ+ parents and parents of any gender.

The annual cost of membership is $75/member.

membership criteria

Full members typically have at least one child age 6 or under, or are expecting. While we do have members with older children, our events are geared toward younger children.

While most members live in Lamorinda (Lafayette, Moraga, or Orinda), we have a number of members residing in the surrounding communities of Contra Costa County such as Walnut Creek and Pleasant Hill, and we welcome members from those sister communities.

If you are moving to Lamorinda from out of the area (e.g., SF, Oakland, etc.), you are welcome to join before your move to find preschools and get oriented to your new community. However, we do ask that you update your profile with a local address within 3 months.

We do not allow direct advertising in our community in any way. We reserve the right to revoke membership for violation of the member and app  guidelines.


get involved

Lamorinda Moms is completely volunteer run, and members are encouraged to volunteer at least one hour per year of membership. We know how busy parenthood is, and strive to make it fun and easy to help out. Volunteer for an hour at an event or deliver a meal to a new mom in the community, or if you’d like to get more involved, take on a larger role on the Steering Committee. It all depends on your level of interest and availability.


terms & conditions

Membership dues are paid upon joining and then yearly on a recurring basis. Your form of payment will be charged annually for membership dues at the current member rate.

You may cancel your membership at any time and no future charges will be made. Once your dues have been charged for the year, however, no refunds will be issued. As a nonprofit organization, membership fees go toward large-scale events, our mobile app host, and any other administrative fees needed for our operational platforms.
